Senior Compliance Advisory Manager
Birmingham
This role is the bank's senior regulatory advisory specialist and a key deputy to the Head of Conduct & Compliance. You will provide expert FCA regulatory guidance across the business, helping to ensure compliance, support good customer outcomes, and influence strategic decision-making.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will represent Conduct & Compliance at senior forums, prepare governance papers, support regulatory change initiatives, and deputise for the Head of Conduct & Compliance when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted deputy to the Head of Conduct & Compliance, providing support across regulatory, governance, and advisory activities.
- Represent the Conduct & Compliance function at management and risk committees, deputising when required.
- Provide practical regulatory advice and guidance to business areas on FCA requirements and Consumer Duty obligations.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, commercially focused business guidance.
- Prepare governance papers, committee reports, and regulatory updates for senior stakeholders.
- Support strategic projects, regulatory change initiatives, and business developments from a compliance perspective.
- Conduct horizon scanning and assess the impact of regulatory developments.
- Lead regulatory training and support colleagues in understanding their regulatory responsibilities.

Essential Experience
- Significant experience operating at Senior Compliance Manager level within an FCA-regulated environment.
- Experience presenting to senior management and governance committees.
- Strong advisory, policy, and stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to operate independently and confidently deputise for senior compliance leadership.
- Proven ability to interpret and translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
