Senior Compliance and Risk Manager

Senior Compliance & Risk Manager – Goodstack

If you’ve been looking to join a fast-growing startup with a bold vision of a world where doing good is built into everything we do, then you’ve found the right place.

Backed by General Catalyst, the same investors behind Stripe and Airbnb, we’re building something truly extraordinary.

Our Mission

Our mission at Goodstack is to revolutionise how the world does good 🌎.

As a fast-growth, AI-native social impact startup, we power global change through technology. We enable companies to seamlessly integrate positive impact into what they do through a unified platform while supporting nonprofits in gaining access to cutting-edge technology and finding new funding streams.

Global brands, including Google, OpenAI, TikTok, LinkedIn, HSBC, Atlassian and Twilio – as well as thousands of nonprofits, including the Red Cross, Cancer Research, and Oxfam – use Goodstack to make a difference.

In 2025 alone, we facilitated $5 billion in donations to good causes. But this is just the beginning. We're building the world’s leading platform that powers donations to non-profits globally.

About the Role

Goodstack is building the infrastructure that powers charitable giving globally. As we scale our platform, Foundation network, and payments ecosystem, we're looking for an experienced compliance leader to evolve our compliance capabilities.

This is an opportunity to shape Goodstack’s compliance programme, building practical, scalable frameworks that support our continued growth.

You'll work closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Leadership to embed compliance into how we design, launch, and scale our products and services.

Reporting to the Head of Global Giving, you'll own Goodstack's compliance programme across both charitable and payments activities.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Compliance & Risk Manager, your mission will be to:

Compliance Strategy & Governance

  • Lead and evolve Goodstack’s compliance approach as the business scales.
  • Design practical, risk-based controls across payments, charitable giving, and Foundation operations.
  • Act as a trusted partner on compliance risk, regulatory change, and industry best practice in fintech and payments.
  • Ensure our platform and Foundation network operate within relevant regulatory and governance requirements.

Compliance & Payments Operations

  • Build scalable approaches to KYC, AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and enhanced due diligence.
  • Own the end-to-end compliance control framework for high-risk users/orgs, transactions, and partners.
  • Improve and automate compliance processes to support high-volume, global payment flows.
  • Lead compliance training and embed good practice across operational teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
