We are partnering with a leading mid-market private equity firm headquartered in London, with a strong international presence and a growing portfolio of investments. They are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join the London team and play a key role in supporting their global compliance framework.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, generalist compliance role offering exposure to UK, US, and European regulatory matters. Working closely with the Global Head of Compliance, you will help ensure the firm's ongoing compliance with FCA and SEC regulatory requirements while contributing to strategic compliance initiatives across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional looking to work in a fast-paced, international private equity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Global Head of Compliance in meeting FCA and SEC regulatory obligations.
- Monitor UK and US regulatory developments, assess their impact on the business, and contribute to regulatory change projects.
- Support fundraising and marketing activities by providing compliance oversight for investor communications, marketing materials, and regulatory registrations.
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing development of the firm's Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal guidance.
- Deliver compliance advice and training to employees across the business.
- Conduct AML and KYC reviews for transactions and portfolio companies.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and liaise with external auditors, legal advisers, and other service providers.
- Support the Investor Relations team with due diligence questionnaires and investor compliance requests.
- Prepare agendas, papers, and minutes for internal committee meetings.

About You

You will have
- 5+ years' experience in compliance or legal, ideally within asset management, private equity, or broader financial services.
- Working knowledge of FCA and/or SEC regulatory requirements.
- Experience drafting policies and reviewing legal and regulatory documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and the confidence to work across international teams.
Location
This is a full-time, office-based position in London. The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of Compliance, based in London.
