Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Role purpose

This role is accountable for the effective operation of Compliance governance and Compliance reporting at Swift.

You will manage the Compliance Committee and own the coordination and quality of Compliance reporting across Swift for the Committee, Executive Management, Board Committees and the Supervisory Board—bringing together inputs into a single, coherent view of our key risks, issues, regulatory priorities and actions.

The capability is new and evolving, with core structures already in place. The role focuses on strengthening discipline, clarity and effectiveness, and supporting the continued maturation of governance and reporting over time.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Committee

Run the Compliance Committee end‑to‑end (agenda, submissions, minutes/actions, follow‑up), keeping the forum focused and effective. Ensure leaders receive clear, relevant and timely information—prioritised to support oversight and decisions. Keep strong governance discipline around escalation paths, decision records and action tracking—so nothing critical gets lost. Maintain the terms of reference for the Compliance Committee, including periodic reviews and updates.

Executive & Board Reporting

Own the end‑to‑end Compliance reporting cycle for all stakeholders, including the Chief Compliance Officer, Executive Management, the Management Board, Board Committees and the Supervisory Board. Make reporting accurate, consistent and easy to navigate, with a joined‑up narrative across forums. Coordinate across Legal, Compliance, Risk and the business to prevent duplication, close gaps and avoid conflicting messages.

Quality, Insight & Narrative

Challenge and support Compliance teams to improve the quality and clarity of what is reported. Draw out key themes, emerging risks and areas of concern, ensuring they are appropriately highlighted. Ensure reporting supports informed discussion and decision‑making, not just information sharing.

Capability Maturity

Define and embed strong ways of working, standards and expectations for Compliance governance and reporting. Continuously improve the Compliance Committee and reporting approach as the function matures and expectations evolve. Document and maintain governance and reporting processes, procedures, templates and playbooks—making it easy for teams to follow a consistent, high‑quality approach. Partner closely with the CCO and senior Compliance leaders to align governance and reporting with the Compliance strategy and priorities.

Leadership

Provide direction and oversight for the Compliance Governance & Reporting role(s), setting a high bar for quality and timeliness. Be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across Compliance, Risk and the wider organisation—able to influence with confidence and diplomacy. Be required to participate in, and at times lead, key initiatives and workstreams across the wider Compliance function—bringing structure, delivery discipline and strong stakeholder engagement.

Experience & Profile

8+ years’ experience in Compliance, Risk, governance or regulatory change within a regulated environment. Strong experience supporting Executive Committees and Board‑level committees (e.g., preparing packs, coordinating inputs, and following through on actions and decisions), or similar senior governance forums. Proven ability to design, build and maintain executive/Board reporting (dashboards, packs and MI), with strong attention to data quality, controls, versioning and single‑source‑of‑truth principles, or similar reporting and MI governance. Exceptional ability to distil complex information into clear, decision‑useful insights and a coherent narrative. A builder’s mindset: you enjoy improving operating models, setting standards, and making governance/reporting work better for everyone. Comfortable operating with ambiguity and evolving expectations—able to bring order, priorities and pace. Strong judgement and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, international environment. A passion for continuous improvement and a visible commitment to high‑quality delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident stakeholder management and presentation. Professional proficiency in English.
