Senior Construction Manager

Senior Construction Manager / Director

Project: Pumped Storage Hydro – £1bn+ National Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) Location: Scottish Highlands | Fully Remote (with site-based periods)

About the Role

Lead the construction of one of the UK’s most significant renewable energy infrastructure projects—a pumped storage hydro scheme valued over £1 billion, critical for energy security, grid stability, and net-zero transition.

As the client-side Senior Construction Manager / Head of Site Delivery, you will oversee multi-billion-pound development spanning heavy civil engineering, tunnelling, electromechanical installation, grid infrastructure, and commissioning. This role requires strategic leadership, complex programme execution, and interface coordination to ensure safe, sustainable, and on-time delivery.

This is not a traditional construction management role—it’s an opportunity to shape energy infrastructure for decades, influence project strategy, and drive major contracting stakeholders in delivering a landmark national energy project.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Delivery Leadership

  • Provide visible leadership across all site activities, embodying world-class health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Shape and design the client-side site delivery organisation, recruiting, developing, and inspiring a high-performing team.
  • Drive decision-making as a senior leadership team member, balancing cost, programme, quality, and risk objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
