This role will work directly with SmartCo's leadership team to build and deliver our next generation of AI-enabled consulting services.
Role Overview
We're looking for a commercially minded AI Consultant who combines enterprise consulting experience with practical AI expertise.
You'll help clients identify AI opportunities, shape solutions, support pre-sales, develop proposals and oversee delivery.
You'll also help embed AI into SmartCo's own consulting methods and service offerings.

- Shape and win AI consulting opportunities with enterprise clients.
- Help clients move from AI experimentation to scalable, measurable business outcomes.
- Develop SmartCo's AI propositions and delivery accelerators.
- Embed AI into SmartCo's own consulting and delivery methods.
- Contribute to the growth of SmartCo's AI practice through proposition development, thought leadership and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Client & Commercial
- Identify and shape AI opportunities with enterprise clients.
- Facilitate discovery workshops and assessments.
- Develop proposals, SoWs and delivery approaches.
- Support business development and pre-sales activities.
- Help evolve SmartCo's AI propositions and offerings.
Technical & Internal
AI Enablement
- Design and oversee practical AI solutions and pilots.
- Build lightweight prototypes and demonstrations where required.
- Apply AI tools to improve consulting delivery and productivity.
- Embed AI into SmartCo's methods, reporting and governance.
- Provide leadership and oversight across AI-enabled client engagements from discovery through to delivery.
Experience, Skills & Technical Knowledge
We are looking for someone who can bridge business, technology and AI, helping enterprise clients move from experimentation to scalable, measurable outcomes.
Key experience and skills should include:
- Consulting experience delivering technology or transformation programmes within FTSE 100, global enterprise or similarly complex organisations.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents and workflow automation.
- Experience shaping opportunities from discovery through to proposal and delivery.
- Hands-on experience using modern AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Lovable, Windsurf or similar to improve productivity, prototyping and delivery.
- Experience taking AI concepts from idea through to pilot, implementation and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into clear business value.
- Sector experience in Financial Services, Consumer Goods or similar complex environments would be beneficial.
- Commercially minded, with an interest in helping shape propositions, support sales activity and grow client relationships.
