About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Consultant to lead our Business Services team on a fixed-term contract (12 months). This critical role requires a strategic leader with e-commerce domain expertise, capable of:
- Shaping Consultancy solutions while guiding both clients and internal teams toward unprecedented success.
- Mentoring junior consultants and nurturing a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Delivering high-impact consulting solutions in industries like retail, FMCG/CPG, B2B, or automotive.
- Driving value through problem-solving, process improvements, and digital ecosystem expertise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Lead cross-functional engagements as the primary liaison for senior client stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships by deeply understanding client challenges and objectives.
- Proactively identify growth opportunities to expand existing client relationships and pitch new business proposals.

2. Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor & coach younger consultants, fostering ownership, skill development, and performance excellence.
- Promote knowledge-sharing and best practices across the team.
- Inspire a collaborative culture that drives team and client success.
3. Strategic Consulting & Solution Delivery
- Provide strategic guidance using expertise in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, B2B, or automotive.
- Rapidly analyze and solve complex problems in dynamic digital landscapes.
- Conduct thoughtful business analyses, identifying pain points, opportunities, and solutions.
- Comprehensively understand e-commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, CMS, PIM) and Agile methodologies.
- Develop and present compelling proposals, roadmaps, and presentations with clear value propositions.
- Leverage insights to keep delivery teams aligned with business outcomes.
4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Proactively implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and quality.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to refine internal methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of consulting frameworks and tools.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria
✅ 8+ years of consultancy leadership experience in e-Commerce, digital transformation, or business strategy roles. ✅ Specialist sector knowledge in at least 1–2 of these areas: retail, FMCG/CPG, B2B, or automotive. ✅ Deep understanding of digital ecosystems, including eCommerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce, PIM, CMS) and Agile software delivery. ✅ Proven leadership in cross-functional teams—able to coach, empower, and mentor junior colleagues. ✅ Strong relationship-building skills—trusted advisor and respected sometimes-stakeholder. ✅ Advanced problem-solving & critical thinking—comfortable tackling ambiguity and ‘grey areas’. ✅ Exceptional communication—clear, persuasive, client-focused presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. ✅ Client-first mindset—passionate about exceeding expectations and driving transformational outcomes. ✅ Willingness to travel (UK/EU) for client engagement.
