Consultant or Senior Consultant - Leeds
We're recruiting a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join a growing Leeds-based team, working on high-value construction and engineering disputes across the UK. You'll collaborate with recognised experts, gain exposure to complex adjudications, arbitrations and expert witness work, and receive genuine support to progress your career and professional qualifications.
The Opportunity
You'll support projects across commercial, residential, infrastructure, energy and major engineering schemes, advising on complex contractual issues, loss and expense claims, adjudications and expert witness appointments.
The role will involve hands-on project work, including forensic analysis of contracts and claims, preparation of dispute documentation, and providing strategic commercial and contractual advice throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on commercial and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct forensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documentation.
- Prepare claims for loss and expense, and adjudication documentation.
- Draft reports that clearly set out processes, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Support dispute resolution processes including adjudication, arbitration and litigation support activities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through the delivery of high-quality consultancy services.

About You:
Our ideal candidate will possess extensive experience within the construction or engineering sectors alongside strong knowledge of construction law and dispute resolution. You will ideally be RICS qualified and commercially aware, analytical in your approach and motivated to develop your expertise within a specialist consultancy environment.
We would love to speak with candidates with the following:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Law, or similar.
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
- 3-5 years' post-degree experience within a similar role.
- MSc or Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law or similar would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of dispute resolution procedures and contract law principles.
- Experience preparing and assessing construction costs, claims, and adjudication documentation.
- Ability to operate with Standard Forms of Contract (JCT/NEC/FIDIC).
- Experience in preparing Expert Witness Reports would be preferred.
- Proven track record of building and managing client relationships.

Their team of experts provide strategic advice to support businesses in managing risk, avoiding disputes, and resolving complex issues through pragmatic and effective solutions.
As a result of their continued success, we are now searching for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join their Leeds office and drive the business forward by further developing their presence in this area.
