Senior Consultant – Delivery
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join BetterGov with the Delivery Management function, leading the delivery of digital, technology and transformation programmes across central government clients.
This role sits at the intersection of delivery leadership, stakeholder engagement and consulting. You will be responsible for ensuring successful outcomes while also shaping solutions, influencing stakeholders and contributing to BetterGov’s growth.
This is not a pure delivery role. Success will depend on your ability to lead delivery confidently, engage senior stakeholders, and identify opportunities to extend and grow our work.
Offering a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex delivery environments and enjoys helping multidisciplinary teams achieve meaningful outcomes for clients.
About BetterGov
BetterGov is a UK public-sector digital transformation consultancy. We help government organisations improve services for citizens and users through practical delivery across digital, data, cloud, technology, systems, service design, programme delivery and organisational change.
We work with central government, local government, Defence, devolved administrations, health and wider public-sector organisations. Our approach is user-centred, outcome-driven and grounded in delivery credibility. We work alongside clients to understand their challenges, shape practical solutions and leave teams more capable than we found them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
