The Opportunity
Join our fast-growing Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting CoE as a Senior professional. You’ll partner in multi-country engagements covering tax accounting and direct tax, assisting with Group Tax Accounting/Reporting under US GAAP and IFRS. Your work will contribute to process optimisation and ensure high-quality, efficient outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Accounting & Reporting
- Assist in preparing and reviewing interim, quarterly, and year-end global tax provisions under IFRS and US GAAP.
- Collaborate with controllers, tax managers, and internal teams on tax reporting deliverables.
- Contribute to US GAAP and IFRS disclosures, reconciling GAAP differences as necessary.
- Draft and maintain tax provision memoranda and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, including SOX documentation requirements and audit processes.

2. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and support process improvements in tax provisioning and compliance functions.
- Prepare tax account reconciliations and corresponding schedules.
- Improve operational efficiency by designing scalable, standardized solutions, minimising technological and process inefficiencies.
- Continuously enhance tax reporting processes with strategic design and control improvements.
3. Collaboration & Development
- Act as a mentor to junior staff on ASC 740, IAS 12, and other key tax concepts.
- Collaborate with internal tax, accounting, finance teams, and external service providers.
- Provide consultative support to clients on forward-thinking tax-engineering solutions.
Skills & Attributes for Success
You’ll excel in this role if you have: ✔ Broad, deep experience in corporate tax compliance, with a strong grasp of direct tax compliance procedures. ✔ In-depth understanding of ASC 740 (US GAAP) and IAS 12 (IFRS) frameworks. ✔ Corporate income tax expertise (any jurisdiction). ✔ Exceptional communication skills, particularly when operating in multi-country teams. ✔ The ability to simplify complex tax concepts for practical, actionable insights. ✔ Organisational agility to deliver high-quality tax work under tight deadlines. ✔ Experience in mentoring junior staff and demonstrating leadership. ✔ Sophisticated problem-solving aligned with a process improvement mindset. ✔ Proven ability to balance multiple tasks while prioritising quality outputs.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
🔹 Degree qualification 🔹 3+ years of experience in corporate tax and withholding tax. 🔹 Relevant hands-on experience in direct tax accounting (combination of public services or industry roles preferred). 🔹 Comprehensive understanding of:
- Tax reporting processes
- Balance sheet reconciliation methodologies
- Deferred tax concepts ✔ Proficiency in tax accounting software tools and advanced Excel skills. ✔ Experience managing work under agile, client-driven timelines. ✔ Ability to deliver tax services to diverse client portfolios. ✔ Proactive acceleration of business development initiatives. ✔ Team-oriented attitude with a track record of adding value in collaborative settings.

Ideal (but not mandatory):
❓ Qualification in accounting (ACA, CA, ACCA) or tax (CTA). ❓ Work experience spanning multiple jurisdictions. ❓ Tax transformation or compliance process improvement experience. ❓ Rollout or implementation of tax technologies (accounting systems, reporting tools). ❓ Project-planning and prioritisation expertise.
