About the Role
Referment is partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed consulting and RegTech business that is delivering large-scale transformation programmes across financial services.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing boutique consultancy as a Senior Consultant, where you will gain far greater exposure, responsibility, and variety than you would in a traditional large consulting environment.
You will work directly with senior stakeholders, including CEO and Executive Committee members across leading financial institutions, helping shape and deliver complex transformation initiatives spanning strategy, operations, risk, compliance, data, and technology.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Exposure to high-impact transformation work across top-tier financial institutions
- Broad project variety across strategy, operations, data, risk, and regulatory change
- Flat structure with direct access to senior leadership
- Faster progression based on impact, not tenure
- Opportunity to help shape a scaling consultancy
- A genuinely entrepreneurial environment where your ideas are valued
- Strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
