Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant
Location: Bristol
Salary: GBP45,000 : GBP55,000 plus benefits
I am recruiting for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a well respected environmental consultancy in Bristol. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced flood risk professional who wants to take ownership of technical delivery while continuing to develop within a supportive, high quality consultancy environment.
This Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant role focuses on delivering Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS designs for developments across the property, aviation and renewable energy sectors. You will play a key role from early feasibility and strategy through to planning submissions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
- Deliver SuDS design and drainage modelling using InfoDrainage or similar tools
- Support feasibility studies, masterplanning and planning submissions
- Engage with clients, regulators and internal project teams
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
- Produce clear, concise and high quality technical reports
About You
- At least four years UK experience in flood risk and drainage planning
- Strong user of InfoDrainage with solid SuDS design experience
- Confident with planning policy, drainage standards and the NPPF
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS
- Strong communication, leadership and report writing skills
- Organised, motivated and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
