The Role
The Digital Construction International Programme (DCIP) is a flagship UK government programme that brings together governments, infrastructure owners and industry partners worldwide to advance digital construction. By promoting the adoption of international best practice in information management and BIM, the programme supports improved infrastructure outcomes, knowledge exchange and international collaboration.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with the skills and experience to lead the main exports work package within the DCIP programme. The role’s primary purpose is to strengthen and grow the UK industry base with the mission to connect UK digital construction and digital whole life suppliers to international export opportunities.
You will lead the team to build an active, well-supported community of UK suppliers within digital construction and whole life. This will include ensuring companies receive targeted support, education, and access to market opportunities and partnerships so they can compete internationally with confidence. A key focus of the export work package will be driving collaboration between large UK suppliers and SMEs, helping them identify demand, position their offer, and build the right partnerships to win work overseas.
Developing and running export programmes and visits will also be central to the role, enabling UK suppliers to access international opportunities and raise the visibility of UK capability. You’ll work closely with the Digital Construction Export Group to turn market insights into practical export opportunities, producing targeted market intelligence, and programmes that respond to international demand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
