Novatus Consulting | Senior Consultant | Risk & Resilience

Novatus HQ: 2 London Wall Place, EC2Y 5AU

Hybrid working: 4 days in the office and 1 WFH.

Job Overview

Novatus are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to support the delivery of complex resilience and risk engagements for clients, spanning regulatory-driven change and broader organisational improvements. Working closely with our Senior Leaders and clients, you will apply analytical skills and industry knowledge to help deliver sustainable regulatory and risk outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver non-financial risk and control transformation projects
  • Drive control simplification projects including control re-design and framework simplification.
  • Drive changes within complex client environments, liaising across first and second line of defence.
  • Lead and deliver resilience-related engagements, including implementation of new regulations ensuring clients meet regulatory expectations and deadlines
  • Embed and strengthen operational resilience capabilities across client organisations more broadly, beyond point-in-time regulatory compliance — including governance, risk appetite, testing, and reporting frameworks
  • Support clients in aligning resilience and risk approaches across overlapping regulatory regimes (e.g. UK OpRes, DORA, PS26/2) to reduce duplication and drive efficiency
  • Produce high-quality client deliverables, including reports, briefing papers, and presentations, tailored to different stakeholder audiences (e.g. Board, Risk Committee, operational teams)
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on resilience and risk matters
  • Contribute to business development, including proposal writing, thought leadership, and identifying new engagement opportunities
  • Support junior team members through coaching, technical guidance, and quality review of deliverables
  • Stay current on regulatory developments and industry best practice, sharing insights internally and with clients

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
