About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Senior Consultant to join our growing Sustainability and Corporate Communications (SCC) team. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the consultancy team, working closely with and supporting the Director of Corporate and Sustainability Communications, as well as the broader SCC division.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, regulatory compliance, and creative communication. You will help our clients navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, particularly surrounding ESG and corporate reporting, while helping them craft transparent, impactful narratives that resonate with their stakeholders. As a Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality consultancy, regulatory guidance, and strategic communications support to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Client Advisory: Support the delivery of strategic solutions to address complex corporate communications and sustainability challenges for our clients.
- Regulatory & Reporting Guidance: Advise clients on upcoming and evolving sustainability and governance regulations. Act as a reliable point of contact for clients on these shifting landscapes.
- Research & Benchmarking: Conduct comprehensive reviews of client communications, including peer benchmarking, gap analyses, and landscape research. Maintain and collect data for our annual reporting database.
- Report Strategy & Copywriting: Assist in designing the structure, pagination, and narrative flow of annual and sustainability reports. Contribute directly to the copywriting of these key corporate documents.
- New Business & Pitching: Actively participate in the business development and pitching process, from initial research and strategic formulation to final pitch delivery.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the team’s external profile by conducting research, writing insightful articles, and contributing content to our team newsletter, Full Spectrum.
- Service Development: Collaborate on the development of new internal service offerings to help expand the remit and capabilities of the SCC team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Sustainability & Governance Knowledge: A strong grasp of key sustainability frameworks and regulations, specifically TCFD, CSRD, GRI, and ISSB. An understanding of broader strategic and governance standards is essential.
- Audit/Accounting Background: A background in or familiarity with the audit and accounting regulatory environment is highly preferred.
- Exceptional Communication & Writing Skills: Outstanding writing, editing, and copywriting skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling corporate narratives.
- Client Engagement & Presentation Skills: Proven experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to build trust and confidently develop and deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration: A collaborative, professional, and team-oriented mindset. You are a proactive problem-solver who can help clients navigate evolving communication needs while building strong interpersonal relationships.
