About the Role
Our Tax Depreciation team, part of the EMEA Tax division, is a powerhouse of expert consultants with 25+ years of experience. Whether assisting FTSE household names, institutional investors, or private asset managers, our team consistently delivers tangible tax savings and value.

We are recruiting a Consultant or Senior Consultant to collaborate closely with the senior Tax Depreciation team, providing end-to-end support across capital allowances, tax compliance, advisory, and transactions for a diverse portfolio of high-profile FTI clients.
As a candidate, you will take ownership of client relationships, manage junior colleagues, and drive operational efficiency—with full support from senior colleagues.
We are open to full- or part-time arrangements.
Your Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Support the senior team in capital allowances analyses, compliance EUR, and advisory/transaction projects.
- Ownership of day-to-day client relationships including development, maintenance, and consulting.
- Liaise with EMEA and cross-functional tax groups within FTI Consulting.

Technical & Strategic Delivery
- Prepare detailed capital allowances technical reviews, compliance support, and bespoke project advice.
- Manage and deliver projects related to work in progress (WIP) and billing.
- Ensure high-quality results through robust technical queries, research, and financial modelling.

Team Leadership
- Guide and train junior team members, improving their autonomy and skillsets.
- Coordinate and refine tools, templates, and processes to streamline efficiency across the team.

Training & Professional Development
- Assist in delivering mission-critical training initiatives for both clients and internal colleagues.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- Professional background with strong experience in tax—focussing on capital allowances, tax depreciation, or depreciation studies.
- Expertise in excels applied to tax modelling, depreciation calculations and client reporting.
- Strong project administration skills under pressure and the ability to operate independently with senior supervision.
- Exceptional communication—translating complex tax topics concisely for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical & attention-to-detail—quality assured, standardized compliance and analysis for ad hoc internal and client enquiries.
- Team & relationship-focussed—importance of collaborative and consultative approach with co-workers from varying backgrounds.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (advanced Excel, intermediate Word and PowerPoint).
Preferable
- Min. Bachelor’s degree (accounting, tax, finance, or qualifications in CIOT, ICAEW, chartered tax accreditation preferred).
- MRICS, ACA, CTA qualified or equivalent preferred.
