A leading deep data and AI consultancy, operating at the forefront of complex digital transformation programmes, is seeking Senior Consulting Engineers to join its growing Forward Deployed Engineering team.

This organisation partners with major public and private sector clients to solve highly complex operational challenges through advanced data platforms, AI integration, and modern engineering practices. The environment combines the pace and ownership of a product engineering culture with the impact and variety of consulting delivery.

This is an opportunity to work directly alongside end users and stakeholders, designing and deploying real-world solutions that drive operational decision-making at scale.

The Role

As a Senior Consulting Engineer, you'll operate in a highly hands-on, client-facing capacity with significant ownership across the full solution lifecycle.

You'll work across:

  • Data engineering and transformation pipelines
  • AI-enabled workflows and operational tooling
  • Front-end application development
  • Solution architecture and stakeholder engagement
  • Rapid prototyping and iterative deployment

You'll collaborate directly with clients to understand complex business problems, translate technical concepts into stakeholder-friendly communication, and build scalable solutions that create measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver end-to-end technical solutions across complex data environments
  • Build and maintain applications using technologies such as Python, PySpark, TypeScript, and React
  • Develop AI-driven workflows and operational tooling
  • Work directly with client stakeholders in fast-paced delivery environments
  • Present demos, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly
  • Contribute to internal innovation initiatives and engineering best practices
  • Support and mentor junior engineers within collaborative project teams

What We're Looking For

  • Strong software engineering or data engineering background
  • Experience with Python and/or SQL, with exposure to TypeScript or React beneficial
  • Understanding of ETL pipelines, data platforms, and modern application development
  • Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Comfortable operating in client-facing or consulting-style environments
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry, Gotham, or similar platforms is advantageous but not essential
