Job Description

We are the UK’s leading premium publisher, home to iconic and influential media brands including Good Housekeeping, Esquire, Mens & Women’s Health, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Prima. At Hearst UK, we don’t just create content - we shape culture.

Our workplace is built on collaboration, creativity, and trust. We champion bold ideas, embrace innovation, and continually evolve to meet the moment - all while celebrating the legacy that’s brought us here. We believe in each other’s potential and push boundaries together to make a meaningful impact, both in the media landscape and in people’s lives. We’re proud of our heritage - but even more excited about making history.

Hearst UK operates an in-office working policy with flexible Fridays. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James’s, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 - Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate's skills, knowledge, and relevant expertise.

The Role

As the Senior Content Creator: Culture, you will create intelligent, elegant, and audience-focused culture content for Harper’s Bazaar, one of the world’s leading fashion and culture magazines. You will write across digital and print, contribute to video, and support Bazaar’s major cultural franchises, events, and annual supplements. Reporting to the Features Director and the Multiplatform Director, you will work closely with the features, digital, social, video, events, fashion, art, and commercial teams to deliver content that reflects Bazaar’s sophisticated voice and deep connection to culture.

Main Duties

  • Write daily culture content for the Harper’s Bazaar website, including news, interviews, reviews, features, and timely stories across art, books, film, television, travel, and the wider cultural landscape, using data analytics and audience insights to help shape culture coverage and identify stories with strong engagement potential.
  • Write news and features for the print magazine as needed, contributing to sections including At Work, Escape, Talking Points, Living, and Flash, as well as editing the monthly Contributors page.
  • Contribute to video creation, including developing ideas, supporting scripts and talking points, attending shoots, and helping shape cultural content for Bazaar’s digital and social platforms.
  • Support Harper’s Bazaar events, including Women of the Year, Art Party, International Women’s Day, Salon, and all Bazaar Privé events: creating contact lists, invitation and marketing copy, compiling talent briefing forms, carrying out panellist research.
  • Conduct research for major features and cover stories, including sourcing background material, compiling cuts for writers, and helping ensure stories are accurate, informed, and distinctive.
  • Provide editorial support on annual supplements, including Bazaar Art, the Travel Guide, digital supplements, and Apple News editions.
  • Manage and maintain the Arts List of key cultural events for the year ahead.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
