Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR)

Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) is a branding business, founded in 1990 and proudly independent ever since.

We started out in the world of packaging, but now we're worldwide; from three founders to more than 300 of us across the UK and USA. Together, we build and deliver brands across the entire consumer experience.

But even more important than what we do, is why we do it. We're here to inspire brands and people to be their true selves.

To be brave. Be tenacious. And above all, be yourself. Because we believe that's the only way to truly be distinctive, everywhere.

Senior Copywriter

We're looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our Copywriting team on a 12-month Fixed term contract from late Sept/Oct 2026. This is an opportunity for an experienced brand writer who believes words are one of the most powerful tools in building distinctive brands. You'll lead creative copy across multiple projects, partnering closely with our Design and Client Services teams to develop compelling verbal identities, shape brand narratives and bring charisma to every touchpoint.

Working on iconic brands

  • Lead the creation of compelling brand narratives, verbal identities and creative copy across branding, packaging, campaigns and digital experiences
  • Translate strategy into distinctive creative ideas that bring brands to life through language
  • Champion the role of copy throughout the creative process, ensuring words and design work seamlessly together
  • Develop and evolve tone of voice systems that flex across channels while remaining true to the brand
  • Create verbal identity guidelines that enable brands to communicate consistently and confidently
  • Evaluate existing brand communications and identify opportunities to strengthen verbal expression
  • Adapt copy for different audiences, platforms and formats while maintaining clarity and impact
  • Edit and refine creative work to ensure the highest standards of craft

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
