About the Role
Our client is a highly successful global marketing agency with a reputation for executing highly successful campaigns across healthcare, FMCG & global retail sectors. Their amazing and unrivalled client base consists of blue chip FTSE100 and Fortune 500 companies across a variety of sectors, but the recent expansion of one of their huge global branded healthcare accounts (massive healthcare, OTC & Clinical brands) means that they are now looking to appoint a Senior Medical Copywriter (remote with just 1 day per week in London) that will be an intrinsic part a client-side creative healthcare communications team.
Role Overview
As an experienced healthcare / medical copywriter, you’ll be responsible for navigating and deciphering scientific language and translating this into compelling, emotive copy for a range of professional medical, healthcare & HCP audiences. You will have good scientific knowledge and be confident communicating with clients and stakeholders that have medical experience and healthcare backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Interpret scientific data relating to a product and translate this information into the context of compelling promotional stories
- Inform colleagues of the science behind products, and be able to contribute towards medical-related discussions with clients
- Comfortably write persuasive copy of all lengths across various channels
- Find stories in data and tell those stories in everyday language
- Guide channel, message and tone-appropriate copy for all audiences and media types, from conception to completion
- Confidently present work to clients and colleagues
- Work alongside designers and Project Management to inform the creation of engaging and accurate visual presentations

Skills and Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience in medical / healthcare copywriting, gained in the healthcare marketing and communications sector or client-side (ideally with experience of HCP communications)
- Ideally a Bachelors degree or equivalent in a scientific field and/or communications or business
- Proficiency in all Microsoft products
- Professional attitude in interactions with co-workers and clients; must be team-oriented
- Good organisational skills and superior attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and a good understanding of brand / human tonality.
- Must be a self-starting, independent and innovative individual capable of looking at problems in innovative new ways
- Possess an understanding of product lines, their features and benefits, marketing objectives, and the competitive environment in order to contribute significantly to the creative team
- English mother tongue or very strong writing fluency in English
- Consultative and personable approach – able to liaise at all levels with client and internal teams
- Able to self-manage effectively and spend 1 day a week in central London.
