An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel
This is a strategic in-house role for a commercially minded corporate lawyer with strong international M&A experience.
About the Role
This role offers exposure to sophisticated, high-value international acquisitions and corporate projects. You will work alongside senior stakeholders to manage transactions from inception through to completion, coordinating external counsel across multiple jurisdictions while providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
The pace is fast, the work is varied and no two deals are the same. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives under pressure and is looking to build a long-term career within a highly regarded legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on international M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and corporate restructurings.
- Manage complex cross-border transactions from inception to completion.
- Coordinate and manage external legal counsel across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Partner with senior business leaders to provide commercially focused legal advice on strategic projects.
- Identify legal and commercial risks, providing practical, business-focused solutions.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and confidently advise executive leadership on complex legal matters.
- Drive transactions forward, ensuring multiple projects remain on track while managing competing priorities.
- Support wider corporate legal matters and contribute to the development of the legal function, including embracing legal technology and AI.

About You
We are looking for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys leading complex international transactions and partnering closely with the business.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current or previous in-house experience within an international organisation
- A strong background in corporate M&A, with experience leading complex cross-border transactions.
- Extensive experience managing international deals involving multiple jurisdictions and coordinating external counsel.
- Confidence taking ownership of transactions and leading the legal workstream from start to finish.
- The ability to work across unfamiliar jurisdictions by managing local external counsel and providing commercially focused advice to the business.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and present to senior executives.
- Strong commercial judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
- The resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- A genuine interest in legal innovation, including AI and legal technology.
