About the Role: We are working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation that is looking to appoint a Senior Corporate Counsel to support its UK and Ireland operations.
This is a senior in-house legal role providing advice to management and business stakeholders across strategic initiatives, commercial contracts, regulatory matters, legal compliance, corporate legal activities and risk management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documentation, with a particular focus on IT contracts, outsourcing agreements, licensing matters and technology services across both private and public sector engagements.
You will also play a key role in supporting, training and supervising junior members of the legal team, while working closely with senior legal leadership and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to management and internal stakeholders across UK and Ireland operations.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, business agreements and legal documentation.
- Advise on outsourcing, IT contracts, license matters, customer engagements and related commercial issues.
- Support legal due diligence, contract preparation, legal research and negotiation activity.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with contractual, statutory, regulatory and legal obligations.
- Identify and mitigate legal, commercial and operational risks across business activities.
- Provide legal counsel on corporate, regulatory, commercial and risk management matters.
- Review statutes, regulations and company contracts, advising on practical solutions to legal and business issues.
- Partner with business teams, vendors, customers and external stakeholders on legal and contractual matters.
- Provide legal review, analysis and advice to business partners and functional areas.
- Coordinate and manage legal projects and activities as required.
- Support, train and supervise junior members of the legal team, including career development where appropriate.
- Provide regular written and verbal reporting to senior legal leadership.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualified lawyer with an LLB, LLM, JD or equivalent legal qualification.
- Current practising certificate or equivalent qualification in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Significant professional legal experience, ideally within an in-house corporate or commercial legal environment.
- Strong experience in outsourcing, IT contracts, licensing matters and technology services agreements.
- Experience working across both private and public sector commercial matters would be highly beneficial.
- Excellent contract drafting, review and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant governing laws, regulatory requirements and commercial risk.
- Ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
- Experience advising senior stakeholders on legal, contractual, business and compliance issues.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal business teams, vendors, clients and external advisers.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior legal team members.
- Strong time management, prioritisation and project management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing deadlines.
