Senior Legal Counsel - Global Corporate Legal Affairs

About the Role Binance, a leading global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to join its global Corporate Legal Affairs team. Responsible for delivering complex strategic projects across corporate transactions, governance, reorganisations, intra-group arrangements, board secretarial, and entity management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and implementation of group legal strategy, contributing to the organisation's general business strategy.
  • Provide proactive, in-depth business-focused advice and execute across diverse scenarios.
  • Manage and support legal responses to corporate matters, offering robust advice and managing external communications on legal negotiations.
  • Lead, advise, and support:
    • Transactional initiatives, including M&A, investments (majority/minority), joint ventures, and restructurings globally.
    • Corporate governance and intra-group organisational matters.
  • Draft, review, and analyse legal documents while providing holistic risk assessments to enhance business value and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams, addressing diverse legal complexities.
  • Train and counsel non-legal colleagues on business-focused legal risks and awareness.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving laws, identifying legal framework developments.
  • Ensure consistency in legal matters across internal stakeholders while taking prudent risks aligned to business strategy.
  • Procedurally assess and execute creative legal solutions for dynamic business needs.

Requirements

  • Qualified to practise law in a leading jurisdiction with:
    • Corporate legal experience (≥ 8 years post-qualification in total).
    • Proven experience in top law firms or corporate entities (preferably with corporate transactional/regulatory expertise).
  • Subject focus: Preferably trained in corporate transaction legal frameworks, including governance and asset structuring.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional projects.
  • Exceptional legal technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills (executive-level collaboration).
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced in-house environment.
  • Team-driven yet autonomous, capable of navigating ambiguous scenarios with strong:
    • Legal drafting and interpretation
    • Critical problem-solving
    • Organisational and analytical acumen
