LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded national law firm with an outstanding reputation within the UK corporate market. Consistently recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, the firm advises an impressive portfolio of domestic and international clients across a broad range of complex corporate transactions.

Due to continued growth and an exceptionally strong pipeline of work, the firm is now looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Corporate Solicitor to join its thriving Leeds team.

Core Responsibilities

The role involves advising on a broad range of corporate matters, including:

  • UK and cross-border mergers & acquisitions
  • Disposals and strategic investments
  • Private equity transactions
  • Corporate reorganisations and restructuring projects
  • Equity capital markets matters
  • Wide-ranging strategic corporate advisory work

The role will have a strong focus on transactional M&A work, with additional exposure to wider corporate and capital markets matters based on experience and interests.

Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders, you will:

  • Take a leading role on transactions
  • Manage key client relationships
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the practice

The team collaborates extensively with colleagues across multiple practice areas and offices, providing exposure to complex, high-value, often multi-jurisdictional transactions.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

  • 7+ years’ Post-Qualifying Experience (PQE) gained within a respected corporate practice
  • Strong experience advising on:
    • A broad range of corporate and M&A transactions
  • Proven ability to:
    • Lead transactions
    • Manage matters with appropriate autonomy
  • Excellent technical ability alongside strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in:
    • Managing client relationships
    • Actively playing the role of trusted adviser to senior stakeholders
  • Strong skills in:
    • Supervision and mentoring junior team members
    • Developing junior lawyers with genuine interest in mentorship
  • A proactive and commercial approach to:
    • Client service
    • Business development
