About the Role
The Legal & Compliance team is seeking an experienced lawyer to join us as a Senior Counsel, Data Privacy. This is a critical role focused on advising our business on data privacy and security matters globally. You will partner with product, engineering, and other legal teams to provide practical, risk-based advice that enables innovation while ensuring compliance with global privacy laws. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing our global privacy program.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on data privacy and security matters globally.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate privacy risks.
- Draft and review privacy policies, notices, and agreements.
- Advise on data processing agreements and vendor management.
- Support the development and implementation of the company's global privacy program.
- Stay current on evolving privacy laws and regulations.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent.
- Admission to at least one state bar.
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a significant focus on data privacy and security.
- Experience advising on global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD).
- Strong understanding of technology and cloud computing.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a technology company.
- Experience with privacy incident response.
- Familiarity with privacy compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
