Senior Creative Designer

We're looking for a talented Senior Creative Designer to help bring our brand to life. If you enjoy turning complex ideas into clear, engaging designs, this could be the role for you. You'll work on a wide range of projects, creating communications that connect with customers and colleagues and make a positive impact on their everyday experience.

Working closely with the Brand and Design Manager, you'll help shape how our brand looks and feels. You'll create campaigns, publications and other creative materials, managing projects from concept to completion and making sure everything we produce is clear, accessible and on-brand. You'll also work with colleagues across BFL to create engaging content that meets their needs.

Any office location within BFL - Wolverhampton, Chipping Sodbury, Lichfield, Tewkesbury, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Dereham, Woodbridge, Exeter, Camborne, Weston-Super-Mare

Hours

Part time - 22.5 hours per week

Contract

Permanent - with agile working

What you'll be doing

  • Designing high-quality creative assets including branded templates, publications, campaign materials, toolkits, presentations, and design guidelines
  • Supporting the development and evolution of our visual identity
  • Acting as a brand guardian, providing expert advice on visual communication, brand consistency, and making sure that our writing style is applied
  • Managing multiple design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time
  • Collaborating with colleagues to shape briefs and deliver effective design solutions
  • Working with external agencies, printers, and freelance creatives to ensure quality and consistency across all outputs
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring all design collateral is accessible, inclusive, and engaging for diverse audiences
  • Building strong relationships across the organisation

What you'll bring

Essential skills and experience

  • Significant experience and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong Mac competency
  • Excellent PowerPoint design and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA and experience creating inclusive content
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality creative work across a range of print and digital formats and channels
  • Experience working within and developing brand guidelines
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, balance priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Desirable

  • Experience in motion graphics and video editing tools such as Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Working knowledge of UX design principles and user-centred design approaches
