About Juice

Juice is a UK's leading fintech lender, providing flexible, uncommitted revolving credit facilities of up to £1M to growing British businesses. We pair rigorous credit judgement with modern underwriting infrastructure, making fast, data-driven decisions that back ambitious companies when they need it most. We stand for lending intelligently and responsibly, and our vision is to become the go-to funding partner for British SMEs. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where we're investing heavily in the systems, data, and people that let us scale. If you thrive on independence, love to roll your sleeves up, take genuine ownership of both decisions and the tools behind them, and want to build alongside a highly driven, ambitious team, this role is for you.

The Role

We're looking for a highly driven, technical Senior Credit Analyst / Credit Analyst to join our Risk team. This role is built for a self-starter who thrives on independence, has a sharp eye for detail, and brings a proven "get things done" attitude.

You won't just work cases. Alongside managing independent underwriting assessments, you'll play a pivotal part in building out the underwriting and credit risk assessment systems that power our decisions. If you want ownership over both the decisions and the machinery behind them, this is the seat.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Do

  • Underwrite independently. Manage and execute complex underwriting assessments end to end, with minimal guidance, drawing on strong technical expertise and sound commercial judgement.
  • Build the systems. Proactively drive the design, development, and optimisation of our internal underwriting and credit risk assessment tools, models, and processes — turning manual work into scalable infrastructure.
  • Collaborate across the business. Work closely with cross-functional teams (data, product, commercial, operations) to streamline processes, keep communication clear and transparent, and foster collaborative growth.
  • Monitor the portfolio. Actively monitor the health of our existing SME exposures, identifying early warning signs and contributing to portfolio reporting.
  • Close the loop with data. Provide feedback to our data and engineering teams to help automate manual checks and enhance our proprietary risk models.
  • Set the standard. Maintain a high bar for accuracy and accountability while staying resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced lending environment.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional underwriting experience, ideally in banking, FinTech, or SME lending (or equivalent).
  • Technical mastery: Deep understanding of credit risk metrics, financial statements, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Mindset: A self-starting, autonomous professional with a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for excellence.
  • Eligibility: Must be fully eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
