Senior Credit Controller
We’re looking for a Senior Credit Controller to help safeguard the financial health of the business through effective credit risk management, exposure monitoring and debt recovery across a multi-currency customer portfolio.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, leading risk assessments, monitoring customer exposure and overseeing credit limit governance. Through your analysis and insight, you’ll support confident trading decisions while ensuring robust financial controls are maintained across the customer base.
Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders across Finance and Commercial teams, you’ll balance risk management with the timely collection of outstanding debt, helping to minimise overdue balances, optimise working capital and support healthy cash flow across the business.
This is a fast-paced but highly rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic team during an exciting period of transformation. Please note that these are 6 months fixed term contracts.

Main Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed financial and credit risk analysis to assess customer creditworthiness and payment risk
- Reviewing, recommending and monitoring customer credit limits and payment terms
- Identifying emerging credit risks and escalating concerns with appropriate recommendations
- Monitoring debtor exposure, payment trends and aged debt to minimise bad debt risk
- Managing collection activities for overdue accounts, prioritising high-risk balances and driving timely resolution of outstanding debt
- Supporting customer onboarding activities, including KYC and risk assessments
- Partnering with commercial teams to balance business opportunities with appropriate risk controls
- Producing insightful reporting and analysis to support decision making
- Reconciling customer accounts and resolving complex disputes that may impact payment behaviour or credit risk
- Overseeing cash allocation and debtor ledger integrity within a multi-currency environment
- Driving process improvements, automation initiatives and enhanced risk reporting capabilities
- Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support both effective credit risk management and successful debt recovery

Our Ideal Candidate
You're an analytical and commercially minded credit professional with strong experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Risk or Credit Control. You enjoy balancing customer relationships with effective risk management and have a proven ability to assess customer creditworthiness, make sound recommendations and support informed trading decisions. With strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to collections, you're confident influencing both customers and internal stakeholders to protect cash flow while supporting business growth.
This Role Would Suit
- Someone with significant experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Risk or Credit Control
- An individual with strong analytical skills who can interpret financial information and assess customer risk profiles
- Someone experienced in reviewing and recommending customer credit limits and payment terms
- A professional with a proven track record of managing complex collections activities and reducing aged debt exposure
- A confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills who can appropriately challenge customers and stakeholders
- Someone with advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting and trend identification
- An individual experienced in managing multi-currency debtor portfolios
- A detail-oriented problem solver with strong reconciliation and investigative capabilities
- Someone with a continuous improvement mindset who enjoys enhancing processes, controls and reporting
