We are delighted to be partnering exclusively with our client in the search for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their established Finance team, based in Gillingham - North Dorset - Near Shaftesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded credit control professional looking to take ownership of a diverse customer ledger within a well established, successful and growing organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts across the Group, driving cash collection performance, reducing aged debt and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while contributing to wider finance initiatives. There is an opportunity to make this job your own and implement your ideas, processes and experience where required!

- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts from end to end.
- Driving cash collections and reducing aged debt.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Resolving account queries and disputes efficiently and professionally.
- Reviewing credit limits and monitoring customer risk.
- Producing aged debt reports and supporting Group cash flow management.
- Working closely with Sales, Technical Services and Finance teams to improve processes.
- Supporting the development and implementation of credit control best practices.
- Managing month-end activities, including reconciliations, reporting and sales ledger close.
- Supporting ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Successful Credit Control Candidate Will Have:
- Proven Credit Control experience
- A strong track record of independently managing customer ledgers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What's on for the Credit Controller Job on Offer:
- Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 (neg) depending on experience.
