Senior Credit Reinsurance Underwriter - Bermuda (Relocation Supported)
Are you ready to build something from the ground up?
A well-established, A-rated (re)insurer is investing seriously in credit reinsurance, and looking for a senior underwriter to lead the charge. This isn't a seat on an existing book - it's a genuine opportunity to build a platform from scratch, with real autonomy and the backing of a business that already writes over $1bn in reinsurance premium and has the client relationships to match.
The role
You'll be the market-facing face of a new credit reinsurance franchise: producing business, growing a portfolio, and shaping how it develops over the next few years. Expect quota share and excess of loss structures, direct broker and client relationships, and the freedom to underwrite independently rather than follow someone else's playbook.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for
- Around 3+ years of credit reinsurance experience, a strong underwriting background, and a genuine understanding of the credit reinsurance market - quota share, excess of loss, and the dynamics that drive it.
- Comfortable assessing and pricing risk on your own.
- Existing relationships in the market that you can bring with you.
Titles matter less than what you actually do. If you're technically an Assistant Underwriter, Deputy, or Senior Analyst but you're market-facing, manage relationships, influence underwriting decisions, and carry real portfolio responsibility, we want to hear from you. Ideally you'll have 10+ years in the space, gravitas with brokers, and possibly an existing book - but exceptional junior-to-mid-level talent will absolutely still be considered.

Bringing your team
If you're a senior producer who wants to bring people with you - a number two, an analyst, portfolio support - that's very much on the table. We'll evaluate the business case seriously, especially where a meaningful book comes with it.
Location
Bermuda is preferred, but the right person matters more than geography. London, Zurich and other European locations are open for discussion, and relocation packages are generous - full support with immigration, work permits and logistics is already in place.
