Compass Associates are delighted to be working exclusively with Welbeck Health Partners on the launch of their brand-new diagnostic and day-case hospital in Cambridge.
Building on the success of their flagship London facility and newly established Oxford centre, Welbeck is continuing its expansion with a state-of-the-art healthcare facility designed to deliver high-quality diagnostic, outpatient and day-case services across a range of specialties including Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, ENT, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology and Women's Health.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the founding imaging team and play a key role in establishing cross-sectional imaging services within a brand-new healthcare environment.
The Role
As a CT Radiographer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality CT imaging services while supporting the safe and efficient running of the imaging department.
Working closely with Consultant Radiologists, referring clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering an outstanding patient experience while maintaining the highest clinical and professional standards.
This position offers the opportunity to work with modern imaging technology in a newly developed environment while helping shape the future of diagnostic imaging services within a rapidly growing independent healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of CT examinations to a high clinical standard.
- Independently assess, justify and undertake imaging examinations using clinical referrals and professional judgement.
- Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, departmental imaging protocols, local rules and MRI safety procedures.
- Administer intravenous contrast media and medications in accordance with PGDs and local policies.
- Work collaboratively with Consultant Radiologists, referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care pathways.
- Evaluate image quality and make protocol adjustments where appropriate to optimise diagnostic outcomes.
- Support service development initiatives, quality improvement projects and departmental audits.
- Participate in quality assurance testing, equipment checks and governance activities.
- Assist with the supervision, training and development of radiographers, students and new starters.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data using RIS, PACS and other relevant systems.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the imaging department and support service efficiency.
- Maintain professional registration, mandatory training and ongoing CPD.
Requirements
- HCPC Registered Radiographer.
- BSc Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years' experience within CT.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of IV cannulation and contrast administration.
- Strong understanding of radiation protection and IR(ME)R legislation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working within private healthcare or NHS imaging services.
- Cardiac CT experience.

- Mammography experience.
- Previous leadership, mentorship or supervisory experience.
