Senior Customer Analyst
Senior Customer Analyst London | Hybrid (3 days in office) Salary: Up to £80,000
About the Company
We partner with a fast-growing telecoms business undergoing significant transformation following private equity investment. In the past 4-5 years, the company has developed a highly respected data function, covering Data Governance, BI, Analytics, Data Science, and Digital. This function remains a key growth driver, with continued investment.
Their analytics team is industry-recognised and award-winning, with more expansion planned.
The Team
You’ll join a dynamic team under the Head of Analytics, consisting of:
- Analytics (4 analysts, including this role)
- 3 Data Scientists
- BI team
- Digital team
This is a hands-on, senior analyst role with opportunities to mentor junior team members in the future.
The Role
This is a commercially-focused analytics position, closely aligning with key decision-makers, including:
- Managing Directors (MDs)
- Finance Directors
- Marketing Directors
- Commercial leaders
You’ll focus on delivering impactful analytics beyond reporting, driving data-informed strategy. Key responsibilities include:
- Customer segmentation & behavioural analytics
- **Churn, retention, loyalty, and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) analysis
- Marketing and campaign performance evaluation
- Commercial performance & ROI measurement

Key example projects may include:
- Identifying customer churn drivers to refine retention tactics
- Segmentation to enhance targeted marketing strategies
- Measuring marketing ROI and campaign elasticity
- Leveraging new data (e.g., customer service, location, device usage)
- Analysing opportunities like eSIM adoption or connected device initiatives
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills (advanced queries, joins, large-scale datasets)
- Priority: Proficiency in Python or R
- Ability to translate data into actionable business insights
- Ideal background in customer analytics, preferably within:
- Telecoms
- Subscription businesses
- Consumer-facing industries

- Strong stakeholder communication experience, especially with senior leadership
