What You'll Be Doing
At Avon, we’re passionate about building strong retail partnerships and delivering sustainable, scalable growth. We’re looking for a commercially driven Senior Customer Development Manager: UK Retail, to take ownership of performance across key retail channels, shaping strategy and driving results through collaboration and execution excellence. This role is offered as a 1-year fixed-term contract and is also open to candidates seeking fixed-term opportunities.
You will take full ownership of the UK retail performance, driving revenue, profitability, and long-term growth across a portfolio of retail partners. You will define and deliver the market retail strategy, ensuring strong commercial discipline across pricing, promotions, and investment decisions. Working closely with key partners, you will lead joint business planning, negotiate effectively, and continuously strengthen relationships to unlock growth opportunities. You will champion best-in-class in-store execution, ensuring all activity delivers measurable impact, while identifying and addressing performance gaps quickly. Alongside this, you will lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and fostering a results-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering retail P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and profitability.
- Setting and executing strategic growth plans across key retail accounts.
- Building and leading strong partnerships with major retailers.
- Driving joint business planning, commercial negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Managing trade investment with a clear focus on ROI and effective spend allocation.
- Partnering with global teams to shape retail media strategy and optimize activity.
- Ensuring excellence in in-store execution, including planograms, visual merchandising, and launches.
- Improving store productivity, conversion, and overall retail performance.
- Identifying new market opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Leading pilots and scaling successful initiatives across the market.
- Managing and developing junior team members to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning or influencing P&L performance.
- Proven background in key account management within retail or FMCG environments.
- Confidence in leading negotiations and building strategic partnerships.
- Experience in trade marketing, investment planning, and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate strategy into clear, executable plans.
- A track record of driving in-store execution and retail performance improvement.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify opportunities and act quickly.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing team members.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
