Job Description We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Marketing Data Analyst who can act as a technical lead and strategic partner. We work together. Your team and the people you will work with... You will be embedded within a cross-functional environment, working directly with our Customer Marketing team. Your role sits at the intersection of engineering and business strategy, acting as the bridge between technical data stacks and marketing goals. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine requirements, manage request lifecycles, and provide technical mentorship to fellow analysts to ensure high-quality standards across the function. We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact... You will take ownership of the data domain for Customer Marketing, ensuring the data model remains coherent, scalable, and cost-effective. Your work will directly inform campaign design and long-term marketing effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include: Analytics Engineering: Building end-to-end data models in Dataform and handling complex transformations. Actionable Insight: Moving beyond "what happened" to explain "why" and recommending the next strategic steps. Performance & Reliability: Proactively tuning SQL for cost and runtime, addressing data quality alerts, and managing technical debt. Dashboards & Reporting: Developing visual, self-serve tools for users to access KPIs and explore pre-built datasets. Domain Ownership: Developing deep knowledge of the customer marketing landscape to help define team goals. Pipeline Design: Designing scalable analysis processes that require minimal supervision. To be successful in this role, you will need: Expert SQL Proficiency: Ability to debug complex queries and write optimised, high-performance code. Advanced Data Modelling: Experience developing sophisticated, scalable, and reusable domain-level data models (e.g., Dataform/dbt). Analytics Methodology: Strong knowledge of attribution modelling and cohort analysis. Technical Governance: Proven experience influencing technical guidelines, principles, and standards. Marketing Tech Stack: Familiarity with tools such as Braze, Optimizely, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or GA4. CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with version control tools like Git and GitHub. Strategic Impact: A track record of translating complex data into actionable recommendations that drive business KPIs. Additional Information Why join UW?
