The Advocate Group is proud to be partnered with one of the largest and most established spirits companies in the world, home to an iconic portfolio of globally recognised premium spirits brands.

With a strong UK presence and a reputation for quality, innovation, and long-term brand building, they are now looking for a Senior Customer Marketing Manager to play a key role in shaping shopper experiences across Sainsbury’s and Asda, bringing iconic brands to life through impactful customer activations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the customer marketing strategy and activation plans across Sainsbury’s and Asda.
  • Translate brand strategies into compelling shopper-led campaigns that drive growth for both the business and retail partners.
  • Develop and deliver omnichannel customer activations across retail media, shopper marketing, and in-store channels.
  • Manage A&P and retail media budgets, ensuring investment is aligned with key brands and commercial priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with customer buying, category, and marketing teams to deliver best-in-class activations.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Sales, Category, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to bring customer plans to life.
  • Evaluate campaign performance against KPIs, applying insights and learnings to optimise future activity.
  • Support the wider Off Trade Customer Marketing strategy and identify new opportunities to drive brand growth.

About You:

  • Experienced within Customer/Shopper/Trade Marketing within FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of grocery retail customers, with experience developing customer plans, JBPs, and shopper activations.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to translate consumer and shopper insights into impactful customer solutions.
  • Confident managing budgets, projects, and agency relationships to deliver against business objectives.
  • A strong communicator and relationship builder, comfortable influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, organised, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
