Senior Account Coordinator
Salary: £28,510 + Annual Bonus (up to £5,400)
Location: Cumbernauld
About the Role
We are recruiting for a highly organised and customer-focused Senior Account Coordinator to join a busy commercial sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and sales support experience who enjoys building relationships, managing key accounts, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional service.
Working closely with the wider sales team, you will support key customer accounts, coordinate large projects, manage quotations and orders, and ensure all enquiries are handled efficiently. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, delivering outstanding service at every stage.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and process quotations within agreed service levels.
- Accurately process customer orders and maintain internal systems.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer spend through product recommendations and alternative solutions.
- Manage customer communications regarding product availability and order updates.
- Support Account Managers with key accounts, projects, new customer onboarding and large-scale rollouts.
- Coordinate customer pricing agreements and maintain customer portals.
- Source products and obtain supplier quotations where required.
- Manage product coding and system updates.
- Coordinate large customer orders from quotation through to completion.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor account activity and contribute towards achieving team KPIs and sales targets.
- Attend regular performance and planning meetings with the wider sales team.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, account coordination or similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling customer information and documentation.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM/internal systems.
- Commercially aware, with the confidence to identify sales opportunities and support business growth.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting field sales teams, account managers or coordinating customer projects is advantageous.
- Experience working towards KPIs or sales targets would be beneficial.
- Industry experience within distribution, manufacturing, wholesale or a similar sector is desirable.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Professional, reliable and committed to delivering an excellent customer experience.
