Customer Service Manager
Harrogate (on site) | £60,000
Lead the customer service function for a long-established global manufacturer: a c.£100M B2B operation supplying customers across UK, Ireland and export markets.
The product journey is complex: manufactured in the UK, sold globally, and shipped on lead times that customers plan their own production around. Raw material and energy costs move, transport capacity tightens, and sustainability commitments are reshaping how product is made and moved. Customer service sits in the middle of all of it, and this role leads it.
What You'll Own
- The order book: managing demand, lead times and delivery promises across UK, Ireland and export markets
- The service strategy: where the function goes next and the decisions that get it there
- A multi-million pound annual transport budget, from cost control through to invoice accuracy in SAP
- Third-party logistics performance across UK and European routes: cost, reliability, accountability
- Tech and systems adoption: better use of SAP, sharper data, KPI reporting that drives decisions
- A team of 5, including a Team Leader

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
