Senior Cyber Security Analyst – Nelson
About the Role

We welcome a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. You’ll safeguard our systems, lead strategic initiatives, and shape cyber resilience across ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Analyst Salary: Up to £60,000.00 (Disc фунт;otype En efter omständigheter) Location: Nelson Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30/9:00–5:00/5:30 (37.5 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Cyber Security Team
- Support the development of Cyber Security Procedures & Policies
- Contribute to Security Architecture decisions
- Oversee vulnerability scanning to validate patching effectiveness
- Coordinate security penetration testing initiatives
- Monitor external threat intelligence and recommend mitigations
- Plan and coordinate patch management for systems & hardware
- Evaluate & recommend server hardening measures
- Assist with email & internet security system configuration
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001 & Cyber Essentials Plus

Required Skills & Experience
Required Knowledge & Expertise:
- Strong experience in Cyber Security Team environments
- Project execution (implementation, planning)
- Vulnerability Management experience
- Exposure Management practice
- Familiarity with EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response)
- SIEM (Security Information & Event Management)
- CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker)
- DLP (Data Loss Prevention) controls
- Firewalls & intrusion prevention
- Phishing Simulation & Email Gateways
- Web Gateways & content filtering
- CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management)
- Container & CI/CD Security/Hardening
