Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Rail Infrastructure

Location: Ashby or Chippenham (preferred), consideration for Birmingham, Poole, York, or Glasgow

Siemens Mobility delivers secure, integrated rail infrastructure systems—including signalling, electrification, power SCADA, and station information—backed by advanced networks and cyber security. Our engineering team collaborates across project lifecycles, combining industry standards, in-house solutions like CoreShield, and trusted third-party tools to ensure resilient, compliant systems.

About the Role

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping secure Operational Technology (OT) environments, blending expertise in product security and end-to-end solution security. This position demands leadership in designing, testing, and validating cyber security measures while aligning with evolving industry standards (e.g., NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443).

Key Responsibilities

You will make impactful contributions by:

  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborating with customer security teams to align on strategy, risk tolerance, and assurance needs, ensuring project security requirements adhere to standards.
    • Representing security engineering at project milestones, driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and incident response analyses.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
