Senior Cyber Security Specialist - Threat Intelligence Lab

Salary: £72,702 - £80,780 Location: Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester Hours: Full Time (35 hours), Hybrid working pattern (minimum two days per week at office sites)

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Specialist - Threat Intelligence Lab to lead the transformation of cyber threat intelligence within its supply chain and third-party ecosystem.

About the Role

How do you translate complex threat intelligence into clear, actionable decisions?

Within Lloyds Banking Group, you will:

  • Shape the development and application of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) across supply chains
  • Operationalise at the intersection of intelligence analysis, data engineering, and supplier risk
  • Protect part of the UK’s critical national infrastructure
  • Lead the evolution of threat intelligence gathering, enrichment, and analysis
  • Employ modern CTI tooling, structured analytic techniques, and data-driven approaches
  • Enhance and exploit intelligence platforms using graph-based models, enabling deeper insight into threat actors, campaigns, and supply chain exposure
  • Convert complex, multi-source threat data into high-quality, decision-focused intelligence supporting:
    • Risk management
    • Incident response
    • Strategic security outcomes

You’ll collaborate with cyber, technology, and business partners to ensure intelligence drives actionable risk-based decisions. A key focus is analysing threats targeting suppliers and third parties, and improving CTI tooling, processes, and tradecraft through automation and advanced analytics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyse threats targeting Lloyds Banking Group’s suppliers and third-party ecosystem
  • Strengthen the organisation’s detection, assessment, and response capabilities against supply chain risks
  • Drive innovations in CTI tooling and workflow optimisation
  • Apply graph-based threat intelligence models to enrich complex datasets
  • Translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide technical and leadership across the Threat Intelligence Lab team

Required Experience & Skills

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Proven Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) expertise, including:
    • Threat actor analysis
    • Campaign tracking
    • Producing high-quality, decision-focused intelligence
  • Hands-on technical experience with:
    • CTI tooling and platforms
    • Integrating data sources
    • Improving intelligence workflow integration
  • Specialism in graph-based models or threat intelligence graphs to enhance complex datasets
  • Ability to distil technical intelligence and data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of supply chain and third-party risk application within CTI frameworks
  • Demonstrated capability to improve CTI processes, tooling, and data quality—focusing on scalability, efficiency, and impact
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills, including line management
  • A proactive mindset with a forward-thinking approach to automation and analytics in cybersecurity
