Senior Data Analyst – 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC), reporting to the Delta Integration programme, to provide essential data analysis, reporting, and insights for integration activities—with a primary focus on supporting the expansion of the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO).

Your role will involved leveraging data to enable operational delivery, strategic planning, and performance improvements across DLO services and cross-functional integration efforts.


About the Role

Support the Delta Integration programme, specifically by:

  • Enhancing the growth and optimisation of the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and related integration initiatives.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Extracting and analysing complex datasets to deliver actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining dashboard, reports, and visualisations, ensuring they meet operational and strategic needs.
  • Overseeing data integration processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support focused on Net Zero and Investment delivery, specifically DLO expansion and wider integration.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to define and interpret business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Perform data interrogation on diverse data sources to generate impactful performance insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise Power BI data products, ensuring clarity and high usability for end-users.
  • Support cross-system data integration, ensuring robust governance, accessibility, and accuracy.

Requirements

Essential

  • Extensive experience in data insights, analysis, or performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with operational or service delivery teams, particularly those managing in-house repair functions (such as Direct Labour Organisations).
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL query writing, stored procedures, and view maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure or Fabric environments (or similar platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability in delivering Power BI solutions in an enterprise environment, aligned with regulatory, data governance, and cybersecurity requirements.

Desirable

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • Experience in performance improvement and operational efficiency within public sector, housing, or similar domains.
  • Familiarity with SQL reporting and other analytical reporting tools.

Office Working Expectancy

  • During training induction, in-office attendance may be required.
  • A minimum of 1 working day per week in the office is mandatory—flexibility will be considered in alignment with business needs.
