Job Summary
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a unique organisation that works to save and improve lives every day.
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a focus on Data Quality who is passionate about making a difference with data to join the NHSBT Data Intelligence Programme. You will lead on Data Quality for the programme, developing a Data Quality Framework and driving data quality improvements across core data sets. You will help to enable robust and meaningful data and analysis, which are key to unlocking insights to drive improvements in donor and patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality services.
The programme is a central enabler of the organisation’s ambitions to ensure blood stock resilience, improve clinical quality, and deliver more efficient, safe, inclusive, and resilient operations — while providing a faster, timelier, and reliable source of intelligence for our managers.
Everything we do is ultimately about improving care and outcomes for donors and patients, and we are bringing together professionals with the vision, influence, and expertise to unlock the full potential of data in NHSBT. So, if you share our passion and want your work to make a meaningful, measurable impact on healthcare across the UK, we’d love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
