Your Role in Our Mission
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead the Enterprise Data Hub, moving beyond reactive reporting to architect the north-star datasets for Salary Finance. This role will accelerate our 2026 strategy by ensuring our £1bn+ loan book is governed, trusted, and scalable.
As a senior team member, you’ll act as a high-visibility advocate for data excellence, fostering a company-wide culture of data ownership. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams, equipping them for self-service analytics with confidence. What You’ll Do
Architect High-Impact Dashboarding
- Influence stakeholders from all levels of data literacy to define dashboard requirements
- Build, design, and maintain best-in-class Power BI dashboards delivering measurable value
- Implement best-practice UX/UI design to maximise user engagement
Drive Operational Efficiency
- Lead automation of manual reporting processes and operational workflows
- Optimise report automation and SQL scripts to reduce technical debt and improve performance
- Confidently maintain production systems with minimal downtime

Influence Strategic Direction
- Deliver analytics insights that enforce long-term business strategy and commercial outcomes
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data aligns with strategic objectives
Champion Data Integrity
- Act as the custodian of data excellence, enforcing governance standards
- Document all analytical outputs to enable confidence and traceability
Engineer Data Foundations
- Build scalable data products catering to self-service analytics needs
- Refine ETL/ELT pipelines alongside Data Engineers to ensure robust upstream data architecture
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor colleagues and lead training to increase self-service adoption and data literacy
- Champion code-review processes for SQL/DAX, establishing high standards for accuracy and performance
About You
Essential:
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or equivalent roles, with a clear trajectory from technical execution to strategic thinker
- Expertise in SQL: Able to write, optimise and debug complex queries while handling large-scale datasets
- Power BI & DAX Specialist: Advanced ability to model data, create sophisticated measures, and innovate technical solutions
- Strategic stakeholder management: Skilled at bridging technical teams and business leadership
- "So what?" mindset: Proven track record of delivering predictive insights that drive commercial impact
- LLM Fluency: Comfortable leveraging LLMs (e.g., Claude, Gemini) for workflow automation, logic verification, or documentation
- Peer mentorship: Experience in reviewing code (SQL/DAX) and training junior team members
Nice to Have:
- Experience in financial services, FinTech, or regulated industries
- Prompt Engineering for Analytics to accelerate data SQL/Power BI solutions
- Python for Analytics: Ability to use Pandas/NumPy, automation scripts or basic statistical modeling
- Data Governance: Hands-on experience with establishing data dictionaries, lineage, and quality protocols
- Forecasting & Predictive Modeling: Proven capability building time-series or predictive models
