Senior Data Analyst

London | Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day from home) | £70,000 + Benefits

No sponsorship available - must have full UK working rights.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to join a growing Data & Analytics function within a highly commercial, data-led organisation. You'll play a key role in shaping business decisions, partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation, and delivering analytics projects that have genuine visibility and impact at leadership level.

This organisation operates across a large, multi-site portfolio and has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer experiences through a combination of operational excellence, technology, and innovation. They have invested heavily in their data capabilities, creating a collaborative Analytics and Data Engineering environment where data is used to drive strategic decision-making across the business.

The analytics team is relatively new and continues to evolve, offering the opportunity to influence ways of working, raise the profile of analytics, and contribute to the growth of a modern, business-facing data function.

The Role

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across operations, finance, commercial teams, transformation, and technology to deliver actionable insights that support business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end analytics projects from requirements gathering through to delivery and presentation
  • Building meaningful insights from complex datasets to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Writing complex SQL queries within a cloud-based data warehouse environment
  • Partnering with Data Engineering teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and fit for purpose
  • Supporting a major transformation programme focused on creating a single customer view across multiple data sources
  • Working closely with project and transformation teams to define analytical requirements and measure success
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Translating data into clear commercial actions that drive business value
  • Championing data-driven decision making across the wider business

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience within Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the use of CTEs and Window Functions
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft and Azure data ecosystem
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships across multiple business functions
  • Experience delivering business-facing analytics projects from inception through to implementation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercial mindset
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams
