Returners Programme – Data & Analytics Consultant Opportunities
About the Role
Have you had a career break of 12+ months? Do you have 5+ years of commercial experience, including hands-on experience in Data, Analytics, or related technology roles? Are you ready to re-join the workforce with structured training, support, and career coaching included?
Then we’d like to introduce you to the UK’s leading Returners Programme and the opportunities to join our Data & Analytics Practice. Our Returners Programme is designed to support professionals returning to work after a career break.
Since 2016, we’ve helped over 550 careers restart through a tailored approach, giving you the confidence, skills, and opportunity to step back into a successful business or technology career.
When you join FDM as a Consultant, you’ll work on large-scale projects across diverse sectors and specialisations within our Data & Analytics Practice.
Depending on your background, you could step into roles such as:
- BI Developer
- Data Engineer
- Data Scientist
- Machine Learning Engineer
- Robotic Process Automation Consultant
Regardless of your past experience, we’ll support you to progress to a level that suits you — mid, senior, or lead consultant.
Your Training & Development
You’ll develop your skills and knowledge through our FDM Skills Lab, where you’ll receive upskilling in:
- Business intelligence and advanced analytics
- Diverse data modelling, engineering and warehousing
- Automation and machine learning
- Modern data platforms and tools (including those for forecasting, analysis, and unlocking business value)

Career Progression & Opportunities
There are progression opportunities towards Principal Consultant level, with exposure to diverse roles and assignments for global companies as part of your return to the workforce.

Minimum Requirements
To join our Returners Programme, you must meet the following:
- A career break of 12+ months prior.
- At least 5 years of prior commercial experience, ideally in data analytics, technology, or a related field.
- A strong aptitude and interest in business, technology, and data-driven problem-solving.
- Commitment to at least two years of full-time employment with FDM.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
