Senior Data Analyst London to £100k

Are you a Senior Data Analyst with strong financial markets experience looking for a role where you'll work directly with front office teams and influence how data is used across a global investment business?

You could be joining a leading investment firm where you'll play a key role in delivering high quality market and reference data that underpins trading, research, risk and compliance.

About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll take ownership of the firm's market data services as part of a small team in conjunction with the teams in New York and Singapore, helping to improve data quality, accuracy and operational efficiency across multiple asset classes. You'll work closely with Trading, Research, Risk, Compliance and Middle Office teams to understand data requirements, deliver new datasets and support business critical initiatives.

You'll evaluate new data vendors, define requirements for data projects, oversee testing and production releases and act as the technical point of contact for complex data issues.

This is a highly visible role where you'll combine technical expertise with stakeholder management and mentoring, ensuring the firm's market data remains accurate, timely and fit for purpose.

Location / WFH

You'll join colleagues in prestigious Central London offices (with onsite restaurant, gym etc.) with flexibility to work from home once a week.

About You

  • Achieved a 2.1 or above in a relevant field e.g. Data, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analysis or other quantitative discipline
  • Strong experience as a Data Analyst within financial services, supporting front office or market data functions
  • Good understanding of financial instruments, market data, pricing and time series data
  • Highly proficient with SQL and querying large datasets
  • Experience working with trading, research, risk or compliance stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with both technical and business users
  • Experience with market data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE or similar)
