Senior Data Analyst
Senior Data Analyst – Business Intelligence Team
About the Role
The Senior Data Analyst position is located within the Business Intelligence Team of Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. Reporting to the Principal Data Analyst, the role supports the development and maintenance of trust-wide and service-specific reporting, enabling the Trust and its operational teams to monitor ongoing progress and performance effectively.
This is a critical position where data-driven insights directly influence decision-making, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure that the Business Intelligence Team delivers timely, relevant, and consistent reporting aligned with trust-wide frameworks and strategies across:
- SQL (database querying & manipulation)
- Power BI (data visualisation & dashboarding)
- SSRS (standard reporting tools)

Proactively contribute to the development of procedures, policies, and standards within the data analysis team, including:
- Proposing and implementing process improvements in your work area
- Aligning work with clinical service teams and other stakeholders

Foster strong working relationships with clinical services, operational leads, and project teams to provide expert analytical input

Deliver high-quality reports and dashboards flawlessly within scope and deadlines, escalating issues appropriately if delivery constraints arise

Ensure administrative reporting processes are efficient and accurate, reducing manual effort while meeting ad-hoc information requests

Sustain and enhance data quality practices in daily operations and propose developments to clinical information systems where beneficial

Interpret complex, sensitive data, converting insights into clear, actionable formats for both operational managers and commissioners

Design, develop, and manage complex performance reports that meet:
- Directorial needs (clinical teams)
- Commissioner requirements

Oversee daily coordination of Data Analyst and Data Officer tasks to maintain timely information provision
Role Context
- Two (2x) vacancies available for this position.
- Work will be deployed across SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) and Power BI, primarily for internal reporting and dashboards.
- Supervised by the Principal Data Analyst, with accountability for aligned team outputs.
