Senior Data Analyst
Senior Data Analyst – Tax Technology
Location: Canary Wharf, London OR Glasgow (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

As Senior Data Analyst in Tax Technology:
- Work with leading global corporate clients to define and implement sophisticated data-driven solutions.
- Join a £5B investment strategy in technology to achieve highest industry standards and deliver innovative client-facing solutions.
- Be part of a 300+ strong technologist team assisting Tax & Legal professionals in developing digital-first offerings.
- Lead efforts in preparing for a future where generative AI reshapes tax consultancy. Play a role at the forefront of UK and global tax determination innovation, ensuring efficient, accurate tax policies for individuals and corporations.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Tax Technology team, your role will include:
- Designing and delivering high-quality analytics solutions for KPMG’s long-term and client-facing use.
- Collaborating with data engineers (both UK-based and India-based) to automate ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and reporting processes using Alteryx and related tools.
- Working with Business Intelligence (BI) Developers to build visualisations and provide strategic insights to clients.
- Mentoring and developing colleagues to unlock their full career potential.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and external clients, working closely on requirements, workshops, and presentations.

Base and Travel Expectations
- The role can be based anywhere in the UK.
- Strong preference given to candidates committed to London, with regular travel required.
- Flexible working (including part-time options) may be queried, dependent on individual circumstances—connect with the team for discussions.
Essential Requirements

| Professional Background | Previous experience in client-facing or consulting roles as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer. |
| Business Problem-Solving | Proficiency in advanced analytics to resolve complex commercial challenges. |
| Technical Expertise | Strong knowledge of Alteryx, preferably with Alteryx Designer certification. |
| Big Data Handling | Familiarity with manipulating large-scale datasets. |
| Data Visualisation | Awareness of tools like Power BI and Tableau. |
| Database Tech | Experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL, including SQL programming basics. |
| Problem-Solving | Expert analytical skills—planning solutions for multifaceted requirements. |
| Client Engagement | Demonstrated ability to communicate with external stakeholders; scoping, running workshops, and presenting. |

Desirable Skills
Consideration given to candidates who demonstrate any:
- Experience in the Azure data platform, particularly Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse, and Fabric.
- Experience with Python/R programming for advanced data tasks.
- Knowledge working with Agile or Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
- Certifications in Alteryx Advanced or Expert levels.
