Senior Technical Business Analyst (SQL, Python Knowledge)
Location: London or Manchester 4-5 times per week (Candidate choice)
Contract Duration: 6-months
Day Rate: To be discussed (PAYE)
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst with brilliant SQL & Python knowledge to play a critical role in our client’s Tech SME team, focused on EU Routing & Smart Delivery operations. This position is ideal for a mature, experienced analyst who thrives in an ever-evolving environment and can make an immediate impact within a 6-month timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solve Complex Problems: Identify, scope, and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions in areas where challenges may be ill-defined. Balance short-term needs against long-term goals.
- Influence Strategy: Generate recommendations that directly inform business decisions. Own key items on the team's roadmap while contributing to operational planning inputs.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Streamline processes and improve data quality by working with data owners and production systems.
- Lead Programmes: Work on strategic initiatives to drive long-term organisational decisions.

Key Technical Requirements:
- Expert level Business Analysis background within large corporate environments, any logistics would be a bonus but not essential.
- Expert-level SQL: Proven experience with SQL is essential.
- Python Experience: Familiarity with Python for data analysis is highly desired.
- Large Datasets Experience: Comfort working with extensive datasets and enhancing their efficiency.
- Intermediate Architecture Comprehension: Understanding of database architecture and performance improvement strategies.

Work Environment:
The role requires a commitment of five days per week in the office, although we are open to exceptional candidates who may prefer a four-day on-site arrangement.
