Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build data-driven applications to support a live front end
  • Ability to work on a full stack teams alongside backend and frontend engineers
  • Apply software development best practices to the data world (test coverage, design patterns, CI/CD)
  • Use AI tooling effectively while retaining ownership of correctness and design
  • Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes
  • A commitment to learning and sharing knowledge

Required Skills/Experience

  • 3+ years writing production code as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer (Python)
  • Demonstrated ability to ship tested, reviewed code: comfortable debugging, reasoning about edge cases, and owning correctness
  • Moderate to proficient with data processing libraries and concepts
  • Understanding of database administration concepts
  • Moderate to Proficient in SQL
  • Experience with DataOps methodologies, tools, and processes
